Brendan “B” Forrest is an award-winning Americana Artist coming to the Fest from rural southwest Colorado. He and his band have announced a new acoustic project consisting of seasoned veterans: Seán Carolan (founding member of jamband Mungion, Trinity Irish Dance) on upright bass, and Ben Zorn (of River Valley Rangers) on fiddle and mandolin with John Lennon Songwriting competition winner Forrest on flatpicking guitar, and vocals. They will be joined by multi award winning recording artist and performer, C-Bob Elliot on banjo and world touring percussionist Steven Rutledge on drums. The trio recorded their forthcoming EP “Cactus in the Poplar” in Chicago (Jan 2024) with Grammy nominated engineer Andy Shoemaker. The batch of tunes portrays a fully developed sound, showcasing compositions and playing from Forrest and Zorn that beckons to both old-time traditional sensibilities and contemporary Americana songwriting, amid bold improvisations and vocal harmonies.IG: @bforrestmusic
